The Seekbar , which has recently been added to Sketchware in it's latest version, has opened a wide range of possibilities for android app development. Here I will describe how the Seekbar can be converted into a jumping object. 1. Start a new project in Sketchware. In the view area , first insert a Linear(V) and set it's width and height to match parent. Inside that insert a Linear(H) , and a Seekbar into that Linear(H). Note that maximum width of Seekbar is 100 . Set the top margin of this Linear(H) to 200 and set it's rotation to 270. 2. Insert another Linear(H) below the previous one, and inside that insert a Button . Set the top margin of this Linear(H) to 160 and set it's gravity to center_horizontal . 3. Now I will describe how to create Sketchware App to get rest of the dates when day 0 is provided. First set the view of the App. It must contain three Edittext  layouts to enter date of 0 dose, one Button to get output, and four Textview fields to display the output of four remaining dates (i.e. dose 3, 7, 14, and 28). In Logic area add a new Calendar component . After that, in the on button click function, set the Day_of_month, month, and year of Calendar component to the date entered in Edittext fields. Note that the Calendar month is set to a value 01 less than the value in text field. This is because month in java is from 0-11. In Sketchware, if you have a Calculator App or any other app in which you have used an Edittext widget inside a Scroll layout on a page, you will notice that when the page starts, the on-screen keyboard pops up automatically without even touching the Edittext . It happens because in this version of Android, when a view is inflated, the focus sets to the first focusable control by default; and if there is no physical keyboard, the on-screen keyboard will pop up. In the latest version of Sketchware, it is very easy to fix, though it may not be possible in older versions. In order to fix this, in Sketchware App, open your app for editing, go to view manager , choose the page (xml) on which you have to fix the problem of keyboard popping automatically, and set Keyboard state to hidden . Save and run your app, you shall find your problem fixed.

It is very easy to include a real time digital clock in your Android App created with Sketchware. Firstly, drag and drop a  textview  widget in a  linear layout . Edit it's text size to 25 or more. Now in the Logic of your app, add a  Calendar component  and a  Timer component . Then go to onCreate event and add a  new block . I added a block named rep in my project. After that  define the new block  function. Use  TimerTask after ..1.. ms  block and inside that use  Calendar getNow  block and  textview setText  block . You can convert your website or mobile site into an app very easily. It doesn't need any programming language or any investment. The only thing you need is an Android mobile and Sketchware app. Install Sketchware App in your mobile and start a  new project . Write your  app name  and select an icon for your app. Now in your project View area drag and drop a  webview  widget. Set width of WebView to match parent and set padding to 0. In Logic area of your project, in  onCreate  event add the  WebView loadUrl  block and write Url of your site in it. Now add a new event, namely ' On back button press ', in your app Logic area. How to create a pendulum in Sketchware? Here is a video of how I created a pendulum in Sketchware: Firstly​, in View field create a pendulum in a linear horizontal block, either using an imageview or textview. It should be such that the pendulum lies horizontally in right half of the linear horizontal block. Next, create a new timer, and a new function. Add a new variable t and set it's​ value to 0 in onCreate event. Also set rotation of textview to 90°. Now define the new function in such a way that the linear horizontal rotates in pendulum motion repeatedly. Use the codes as shown in the image below. And then save and run the project. It will show your image or text in pendulum motion.

1. How to create a reset button in Sketchware? If you have an app which takes written input and has one or more Edittext widgets being used, you can use a reset button in your app which clears all the inputs in  Edittext  view. The method is very simple. Simply insert a new button in your view field and name it as  reset . Then in it's logic  set all Edittext to blank . The picture​ below shows an example. Now when you click the reset button, it will render all edittext fields blank. 2. How to enable going back or going to previous page in webview? In  webview  if you have not used any code other than  loadurl , the app exits on pressing back button on any webpage. Here I have used the example of battery charging images to show how we can create a simple animation in Sketchware. Here is a video of the process: Step 1. Download Sketchware App . Step 2. Start a new project. Drag and drop a linear and an imageview block in the View area. Step 3. Use Image manager to add the images you want to use in animation. How to use checkbox in Sketchware to select between two options? Here is a description of how checkbox can be used in Sketchware to select between male and female. 1. First, place two 'checkbox' widgets in your View field. Change their texts to 'Male' and 'Female'. 2. Complete building your View field. 3. In onCreate method set visible both checkbox1 and checkbox2. 4. On checkbox1 clicked setEnable checkbox2 false. 5. On checkbox2 clicked setEnable checkbox1 false. 6. On button click use if-else checkbox1/checkbox2 getchecked and write your desired logic.

How  to enable download in an app created with Sketchware? Suppose you have created an app in Sketchware which uses webview to open a site. You can seamlessly explore the site in your app. But the download links in the webview field do not work. But it is possible to make it work by exporting the source code. You can edit the code in either Android studio or Eclipse to add your desired features and then recompile it. I tried to do that but soon realized that setting up environment for development of Android app is not easy for a naive like me.
